The privately-owned cabin is nestled within the 3000 acre, internationally renowned Breezy Point Resort, conveniently located 30 miles north of Brainerd, 2-1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities, in the Lakes region of central Minnesota. The dream of 1920's publishing tycoon Captain Billy Fawcett, creator of "Whiz-Bang Comics," Breezy Point gained a reputation as a "hideaway" for politicians, gangsters and movie stars in the 30's and 40's, and is enjoyed by Minnesota, U.S., and world-wide travelers today. Voted "Best Family Resort" five-years-in-a-row (1998 - 2002) by Minnesota Parent, a popular Twin Cities family magazine and voted "Best Lakeside Resort" by the readers of Minnesota Meeting and Events Magazine.
BestView Cabin is located in the *resort community setting of "Fawcett's Cottage Hill," which was Breezy Point's first addition back in the 1930's. Properties on Cottage Hill are named alphabetically, after streets in Minneapolis and St. Paul. BestView Cabin, called "Girard," is separate, private property and is not part of nor is it affiliated with the Breezy Point Resort.

Located in a wooded setting, overlooking Pelican Lake, BestView Cabin is set up with modern furnishings, yet still maintains its rustic charm and appearance. Perfect for budget-minded small families, groups or couples that want more room and to plan their own meals. "Girard" was remodeled in 1996 with new furniture, carpeting/linoleum and the kitchen and shower in 2002. The Girard cabin water supply is provided by the resort and is fully conditioned--no hard, well water taste.

$149/night (Fri. & Sat.), $129/night (Sun. - Thur.) - $749/week (four night minimum Jul. & Aug., two nights June, Sept. & Oct.), based on quad occupancy (4 people), $5/extra guest/day. Available May - October (when water supply is on, dates vary).
Reservations are first-come-first-served and are held after security deposit and half rental amount is received.
Discounts do not apply to Memorial or Labor Day holiday weekends.
